The Winking Jesus paintings were created to give us a different presentation of our Savior Jesus Christ. We really do not know what he looks like, but he was given to us in human form. We know He performed miracles, talked about our Heavenly Father, and rose from death which are a few of his divine actions. His human form did some human things like smiling, laughing, crying, and most likely He winked.
As I encountered my first painting and stared at it for a couple of weeks, I finally realized that this presentation of our Jesus is a very positive image. A smiling winking Jesus is a warm and inviting gesture. It has proven to get attention. When people look as this image, they ask questions. What a great opportunity to start a conversation about Jesus. This image can remind us to talk to Jesus. When you look as this image, you seem to stare at it for longer periods of time and most folks return a smile and sometimes a wink. It makes us feel a little sense of peace, trust, and love that we can share.
Each painting has been different. I want each person to have their own image of Jesus that no one else has. I am going to create them one at a time.
The money requested for these paintings will be used to continue this ministry. Some money will be donated to charities.
We can create a friendship with the Holy Spirit as we create friendships on earth. If we truly accept Jesus Christ in our hearts we are blessed with the wisdom and peace that only His Holy Spirit can give. We have to make decisions within our journeys. It is our desire to decide what will fill us with contentment and true peace.
The Holy Spirit is always present if we only listen and believe. Each day is new and we must work on loving and forgiving. We need to embrace our unique differences and do not judge. We need to imitate Jesus Christ in our journeys. The words from our Jesus; “Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works.”
Do not show partiality towards our brothers and sisters. Always show gentleness, self-control, and goodness. Always be faithful, joyous, and be kind to our brothers and sisters our Creator has put in our lives. Always be patient, share love, and let your Holy Spirit shine. Even a small gesture as a wink and smile may be passed on to another brother or sister. We can make a difference.
